Dr. Lisa Driben is our Medical Director at Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital. She is honoured to lead a team dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care when pets and their families need it most.
Dr. Driben graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College and, after a brief career in general practice, transitioned into emergency medicine. She has practiced in both Canada and the United States across a variety of emergency and specialty hospitals. She is passionate about supporting patients and the people who love them during some of life’s most stressful moments.
She is especially focused on fostering a collaborative team environment and continuously enhancing the level of care provided to the community—from general practices to pets and their families.
Dr. Driben looks forward to becoming part of the Nanaimo community and the Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital team, and is excited to embark on this journey alongside them.
