Emily graduated from the Ridgetown College Veterinary Technician in 2013, and shortly after completed the VTNE to obtain her registration. She has predominantly worked in ER in and around the GTA, until moving to Vancouver Island in 2017. Emily enjoys all aspects of this field, as it is so multi-faceted and constantly evolving. When not at work, she can be found out hiking with her cattle dog, DD, or reading. Emily shares her home with three, 4-legged roommates: DD, Cricket and Penelope.

May 18th 2022 - Official Communication Dear Community, Necrotizing fasciitis is an uncommon disease in dogs but given the number of cases we have seen recently, it is important that we, as pet owners (myself included) are vigilant. However, the first thing we must not do is panic. I would like to take this time to give you an overview of the disease so that you know what to look out for and when to seek veterinary care.
