Emergency Veterinary Hospital Open 24 Hours a Day

Dr. Ashton Wickramaratne DVM

Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Ashton Wickramaratne graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (University of Saskatchewan) in 2018. She moved back home to BC and started her career as a general practitioner in Sooke. Ashton found a strong sense of community and passion for her clients and patients there but longed for the fast pace and excitement of emergency medicine. She joined the CIVEH team in December 2019 and has loved every minute of it! Her clinical interests include ultrasound and soft tissue surgery. When Ashton isn’t at work, she can be found road biking around Nanaimo, kickboxing things, and paddleboarding. She lives with her partner, Seamus, and their two special rescues King Jack - a Yorkie Chihuahua X, and Sir Artemis Hippo Pink - a tabby cat!
